Dr. Pearl Shivers was raised on Long Island and stayed in New York to obtain her bachelors of science degree from Syracuse University. Dr. Shivers then followed her lifelong passion of caring for animals and continued her studies to graduate from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship that provided strong clinical experience through surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, critical care, neurology, oncology, cardiology and dermatology. Following the internship, Dr. Shivers continued to care for small animals throughout Manhattan and Long Island. Her clinical interests include surgery and dentistry because of the immediate improvement she can provide for a pet, but most of all she enjoys maintaining a lifelong relationship with a patient and providing care to pets from puppy/kitten stages into adult ages. In her free time, Dr. Shivers enjoys traveling, photography, horseback riding, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.
