Dr. Ned Horowitz has been in practice since 1987 and is the proud owner of Massapequa Pet Vet since 1996. He is a graduate of Glasgow University Veterinary School, with a BVMS degree and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Horowitz works with dogs, cats and all exotic species of pets and has special interests in surgery, exotics and dentistry. As the medical director of Pet Vet and through years of education and training, he has dedicated himself to veterinary care, surgery and continued education.

Dr. Amin received his bachelors of science from Stony Brook University. He obtained his DVM from Cornell University. Dr. Amin works with dogs and cats and has special interests in internal medicine. As an associate of Pet Vet and through years of education and training, he has dedicated himself to veterinary care and continued education. In his free time Dr. Amin enjoys playing soccer and basketball, spending time with family and friends, and pulling pranks on loved ones.

Dr. Jasmine Duperval is a Long Island native whose passion for veterinary medicine began in New York. She earned her B.S. in Health Science from Hofstra University and worked as a veterinary assistant before pursuing her DVM at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada. After completing her studies, Dr. Duperval moved to Georgia, where she finished her clinical training at the University of Georgia. In 2020, she returned to Long Island to complete a one-year rotating internship at West Hills Animal Hospital.
With her diverse training and experience, Dr. Duperval is dedicated to providing exceptional care for her patients while offering emotional support to their families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a proud fur mom to her toy poodle, Daisy, and her orange cat, Kurly.

Dr. Hall holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University and a veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, joining the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Hall is proficient in providing medical care for dogs, cats, and various exotic pets, with a notable focus on internal medicine, infectious diseases, and aquatic medicine. Renowned as a certified aquatic veterinarian, Dr. Hall actively collaborates with several aquariums, including the Long Island Aquarium, to optimize the health and well-being of aquatic animals. Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Hall is dedicated to furthering his education and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Infectious Disease from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, University of London. A native of Long Island, Dr. Hall has trained and worked with Massapequa Pet Vet for many years. We take great pride in welcoming him to our Pet Vet family.

A Long Island native, Dr. Avery Elgin brings both local roots and international training to her role as an associate veterinarian. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University and completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee, where she further developed her skills and deepened her interest in small animal care.
Many clients may recognize Dr. Elgin from her time training under the guidance of Dr. Horowitz. Dr. Elgin has a special love for surgery and believes that great medicine starts with great communication. Whether she's walking you through a treatment plan or helping your pet feel at ease, her goal is to make every visit feel a little less stressful and a lot more personal.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Elgin enjoys beach days and doting on her beloved (and mischievous) Coconut Retriever.
